Terry LeCount Induction - March 2007
Born in Jacksonville on July 9, 1956 to the parents James, Sr. & Ruth LeCount. He has two sisters, Carolyn and Regina; three brothers, Ruben, James Jr., and Marty. Terry attended Williams M. Raines High School where he was a Parade All– American and a two-time State Champion in the 440 yard dash.  He is also a member of W. M. Raines Football Hall of Fame and selected to the Jacksonville All Century Team.

His college education period at the University of Florida (1974-1978) included his being the 2nd African-American quarterback and receiving an AA degree in Speech Communication.  Terry was a fourth round draft pick in the 1978 NFL draft to San Francisco Forty-Niners.  He was then traded to Minnesota Vikings where he played for six years.  In 1992-1993, from Springfield College in Massachusetts, he received an Early Childhood Education Certificate.

Most recently, Terry became a kidney donor to his younger brother, Marty in November, 2004.

Terry currently resides in Riverdale, Georgia with his lovely wife, Valjean.  He is a teacher at Oakhurt Elementary and supervises a young boy’s Mentor Group of 2nd and 3rd graders.
